Snuggle-up and read

By Melissa Thibodeau

Happiness is ending a hectic day in cozy-soft jammies and escaping together into a beloved tale (while filling snuggle quotas at the same time).

We’ve asked our staff to tell us how they do bedtime reading
with their littles.

“Once we’re in our jammies, my daughter chooses a book and we read it together in bed. She always asks for one more chapter.” — Claudia

“We always have a stack of books by the bed. My kids each pick two. My eldest loves to tell me why she chose her books.” — Monika

“My kids are great negotiators. One book often turned into three. Per child. I always read to them lying in their beds.” — Esther

These are the books our kids are loving right now:

1 Brimsby's Hats by Andrew Prahin
2 The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt
3 Stephanie's Ponytail by Robert Munsch
4 Virginia Wolf by Kyo Maclear, Isabelle Arsenault

5 If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff
6 Rosie Revere Engineer by Andrea Beaty
7 The Paper Bag Princessby Robert Munsch
8 Charlie and Lola, Snow is My Favourite and My Best by Lauren Child

Books

9 The Book About Moomin, Mymble and Little My by Tove Jansson
10 How to Catch a Star by Oliver Jeffers
11 The Very Cranky Bear by Nick Bland
5 Click Clack Moo Cows That Type by Doreen Cronin

13 On the Night You Were Born by Nancy Tillman
14 The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson, Axel Scheffer
15 Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
